Nick Simper & Nasty Habits played two more "Deep Purple Mk1 Songbook" shows in August and September.

29 Aug City Stadium, Stargard Szczecinski Poland
12 Sept Gasometer City, Vienna
Austria

Ralph Grille caught the 12th September "Blues-Event" in Vienna, where Nick played on a bill also featuring Miller Anderson, Chris Farlowe and Clem Clempson.

"They put on a rousing show to finish the night at the Gasometer. The idea behind was not to simply to reproduce Deep Purple Mk1's somgs, but to give them s a completely new face. The show was very impressive. The set-list was: And The Address / The Painter / Mandrake Root / Emmaretta / Chasing Shadows / Lalena / Wring That Neck / The Bird Has Flown / Hush / Roadhouse Blues."

Nick Simper Rockpages interview  *29.08.10*
Nick Simper

Nick Simper was recently interviewed by the Rockpages website, before a show in Hungary. Regardng Deep Purple Mk1 he says:

"Three albums in a year, it doesn’t happen today, is it? We did that and we made them on very very small budgets. A lot of the tracks were done almost live, because we ran such tight budgets, we spent all this time working, working, working, touring, there was no chance to really try and develop as writers or even as a proper unit and in the end, after six months of touring in America, everybody’s getting a bit sick of it. We all had different points of view of how the band should go and how the band should be run, what agents we should have and sadly the whole thing imploded."
