"Very enjoyable evening. Things kicked off with Masque, with Jon watching from one of the boxes to the left of the stage. At the end of the piece he came round to take the applause with Paul Mann who was very clearly out to enjoy himself throughout the whole evening. The audience were a mixed bunch to say the least. Not sure if the guy in the Cro Mags t-shirt with the tattoos got what he expected but the old boy next to me was having the time of his life !

After the interval it was Concerto time. Jon said a few words about Malcolm and the impact he had on Jon as a musician. Nice to see Roger up there and he certainly added to proceedings as you would expect. The guitarist was a little pedestrian and the vocalist down in the mix, not sure if this was intentional. Again very enjoyable, and went down a storm with a standing ovation at the end which obviously moved Jon." Andy Hardman
